Beverly Hills is home to some major restaurants, from classic steakhouses to Italian fine dining. Whether you’re after a leisurely lunch or a quick midday bite, these are some lunch spots in Beverly Hills that are definitely worth checking out.

Matsuhisa
Matsuhisa was the chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s first restaurant, and it was from here that his world-renowned Nobu empire was spawned. However, while Nobu is known to be glamorous, Matsuhisa is a much more low-key sushi spot and has not changed too much over the years, even retaining their long counter where diners can sit and chat to the sushi chefs. Some of the restaurant’s signature dishes include mixed seafood ceviche, uni shooters, and the cold scallops with kiwi.

Spago
Spago is the restaurant that helped chef Wolfgang Puck shoot to fame, and even though it has been open for over thirty years now, it is still one of the most iconic dining experiences in LA. Its sleek black and white dining room and unique menu that straddles the line between classic and innovative, have its regular diners constantly coming back for more, while tourists always pop in for a meal in the hope of catching a celebrity sighting. Popular lunchtime dishes include the pizza with cured salmon and the prime beef burger, but for those of you feeling adventurous, the tasting menu is worth a try. Spago is also home to one of the best wine cellars in the country, with diners being able to choose from 30,000 bottles, as well as an impressive selection of Austrian wines.

Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel
The Polo Lounge has long since been one of Hollywood’s top power lunch spots for the entertainment industry, with the afternoon meal served up alongside an atmospheric piano accompaniment. While this restaurant may be over 70 years old, the Polo Lounge has been recently renovated, and the menu is constantly evolving. The restaurant’s famous McCarthy Salad, consisting of romaine, grilled chicken, eggs and more, is one of the most popular dishes, being the meal of choice for 25% of lunchtime diners. For those who want something slightly heartier, give the Wagyu Burger or Black Truffle Tagliatelle a try.

Maude
Maude is a restaurant belonging to celebrity chef Curtis Stone, and puts out a monthly set menu that has been inspired by a special seasonal ingredient. The restaurant is small and intimate, seating just 25 at a time, making the dining experience extra special. The nine-course menu enables diners to take a peek into the way in which Curtis Stone’s mind works, clearly displaying the clever way that the chef manages to walk the line between creativity and technical excellence, and the fantastic wine list that complements each dish only adds to the restaurant’s charm.

There are many spots in Beverly Hills that are iconic when it comes to an LA lunch, and there is definitely no shortage of restaurants to choose from either. From sushi that inspired Nobu to a famous Wolfgang Puck pizza, these are most certainly some of the best lunch spots in town!
